Product Review - Maybelline Colossal Kajal

   Though the Maybelline Colossal Kajal was launched more than three and a half years ago, reviewing it today as it is the one product which I have been using religiously for more than a year and has become my absolute personal favorite, a definite 'Product Of The Year' for me!

 

   Product Claims: Enriched with Olive Oil Esters, Vitamin E, Vitamin C Derivatives and Conditioning agents, Colossal Kajal has our deepest black pigments, a unique tip and an exclusive color fix formula which gives you smooth, intense color that stays on for up to 12 hours. The Colossal Kajal is ophthalmologically tested and is suitable for contact lens wearers. 
   Maybelline’s Colossal Kajal not only beautifies your eyes, but soothes and nourishes them as well.

   Shelf Life: 24 months.  
   How to Use: Draw a neat black stroke along your lower waterline. For a more dramatic look, add a bold stroke on the upper lid. To remove, use the Maybelline Eye and Lip Make-up remover.
   Tip: Apply Colossal Volum Express Mascara on the lashes and line your eyes with the Colossal Kajal,  to create the 'Colossal Eyes' effect.

   The Maybelline Colossal Kajal was one of the first cosmetic product that I came across and now after using it on multiple occasions have fallen completely head over heels in love with it! The sleek packaging makes it easy to carry it around. Love how it glides smoothly over my eyelids providing good pigmentation in a stroke or two. Also the fact that it stays right in place without smudging or fading for hours on my eyes and makes my eyes look bigger and more attractive, without creating a big hole in my pocket! 

   Pros:
- Packaged in an attractive sleek yellow tube with a retractable tip.
- Gives good pigmentation, although not the deepest black color.
- A pointed tip makes it easier to apply the kajal more accurately.
- Glides smoothly over the eyes.
- 2-3 swipes enough to get maximum color payoff.
- Can be used over eyelids as well as the waterline.
- Does not irritate the eyes.
- Water resistant.
- Stays well beyond the claimed 12 hours on my eyelids without smudging or fading!
- Well suited for lens wearers.
- Easily available across India.
- One of the most cost effective kajals in the market.

   Cons:
- For people having oily eyelids, it starts to smudge earlier.
- The tip may break if used with a large portion of the kajal protruding out of the tube.

   Verdict: 4.75/5. A product that every girl should try! My go to product for whenever I have to step out of the house! A big yes to all those looking for a recommendation for purchasing it.
