Product Review - Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser

   One of the organic, cruelty free 'Make In India' brands that I had been meaning to try since long was Kama Ayurveda. Having heard great positive reviews from many sources, I recently bought a few of their products for myself. Below is the detailed review of the Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser. Do give it a read to know if it stays true to its brand's reputation and product claims.

   Product Claims: A perfect hydrating face wash filled with natural ingredients, which gently and thoroughly clean skin and remove light makeup. Aloe Vera leaf juice heals and smoothens skin, Vetiver root and Black Cumin seeds are antibacterial, Jojoba seed oil softens and rejuvenates skin, minimizing fine lines and promoting skin suppleness. The pure essential oil of Rose has excellent emollient and hydrating properties keeping the skin soft, young and moisturized while the pure essential oil of Jasmine is an effective toner and helps reduce skin marks and scarring.

   Shelf Life: 24 months.
   Directions: Use appropriate amount on damp skin, light massage and rinse well with lukewarm water & pat dry.

   Ingredients: Vetiver Root Extract,Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Jojoba Seed Oil, Salicylic Acid, Rose & Jasmine Essential Oil Blend, Potassium Sorbate, Holy Basil Leaf Extract, Guar Gum, Liquorice Root Extract, Glycerin, Cumin Seed Extract, Cassia Alata Leaf Extract, Aqua, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice.

   The Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser comes packed as an amber colored compact, simple, attractive and sturdy container bottle provided with a black pump dispenser and a transparent cap for protection against product leakage. It comes labelled with the brand and product name, product claims, directions for use, ingredients, caution warnings, price, volume provided, shelf life, manufacturing and customer care details.
   The face cleanser solution is clear in color, possesses a strong rose scent and is a bit runny in consistency. Just two pumps of the solution are enough to cleanse the face, though the lather it creates isn't a lot due to absence of artificial sulphates. It does not form a creamy layer on the skin and is easy to rinse off. The cleanser gets rid of oil, dirt and traces of light makeup from the skin, providing it with a fresh, radiant look. It does not strip the skin of its natural oils and keeps it well moisturized. Also, it helps in keeping skin soft, supple and oil free. Over time it helps in keeping the eruption of acne in check. It does not contain artificial colors/fragrance or petrochemicals, parabens, urea, propylene glycol or sulphates. It is a 100 % vegetarian product and is cruelty free as well.
   The Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser's price is on the higher side of the spectrum compared to many other face washes in the market, though they are easily available through their stores and website in India and internationally as well.

   Verdict: 4.25/5. Though a bit costly in price, the Kama Ayurveda Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser is a great smelling, thorough yet mild face wash, suitable for all skin types.
 

Kama Ayurveda 'Bridal Beauty Box' Preview and Unveiling of Valentine's Gifting Range at the new Juhu Store

   Kama Ayurveda opened doors to their 13th store in India earlier this month at Juhu Tara Road, Mumbai. A day event was organized for a select few bloggers to visit the same, to introduce them to the new services and products introduced by the brand.
 

   The first thing I noticed in the new store was the pleasantly scented environment where the various products by Kama Ayurveda were displayed in neat shelves. The decor in the store was heavily influenced by India and its indigenous herbs. The products give an excellent first impression even with just a single glance due to their beautiful packaging.

   I was pleasantly greeted by the PR reps of the brand and offered a glass of coconut water to quench my thirst. Bruschetta, spinach and cheese canape cups and small servings of chocolate brownies made sure that my hunger pangs stayed at bay. Ladies from Kama Ayurveda then quickly briefed me and my fellow blogger buddies about their new one-of-its-kind Bridal Beauty Box services and the special prepacked gift boxes for Valentine's for women and men. 
 

   The Bridal Beauty Box consists of comprehensive services including worth Rs. 8000/- of Kama Ayurveda products, the exact products included to be determined on basis of personal need of the to be bride in terms of skincare and haircare, neatly packed in a bridal trousseau box. A consultation with an ayurvedic doctor is also included in this package, whose expertise can be availed of to understand and treat conditions of skin, hair, diet and general well being with prior appointment. To be brides can opt for this service until the end of March, 2016 for an all round grooming experience.

   Kama Ayurveda has also introduced Valentine's Gifting Boxes, in one variant each for women and men. Both the gift boxes contains 5 items each - A soap, a face cleanser, a toner, a face cream and a lip balm - The perfect mix of products to pamper the one you love!

 
   Next we were taken on a tour of the store by a sales rep from the outlet who quickly introduced us to each and every product in the store. She told us about the benefits of each product with expert fluency and answered our queries regarding the products. We even got to test a few of the products on ourselves and smell their divine scent. 
 

   Taking a holistic approach, Kama Ayurveda provided us with a one to one consultation with a practicing Ayurvedic doctor who gave solutions for ailments that many of us were suffering from. He told me about the medical conditions that I am most likely to suffer from in the future based on the "doshas" and also about the ways to prevent them. I was then suggested a few Kama Ayurveda products the use of which would benefit me by him. 

   The event ended with us bidding the team from Kama Ayurveda, our hosts for the day and blogger buddies a goodbye. Each one of us bloggers received a goodie bag containing the two products recommended during the doctor's consultation and a pouch containing a few sample sized products by the brand. 
 

 
   My goodie bag had 100 ml bottles of Brigandi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil and Nalpamaradi Thailam Skin Brightening Treatment. The various samples received include - 2 vials of Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil, a tube each of Rejuvenating And Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream, the Kumkumadi scrub and their Hand Cream, and a small container tub with Mridul Cleanser and Nimrah Anti Acne Face Pack.
