Product Review - Lakme CC Cream

   Reviewing the Lakme CC i.e Complexion Care Cream which has become an integral part of my beauty regimen without which I seldom step outside my house.
   A CC cream is the perfect combination of a daily skin cream with complexion corrector pigments which even out the skin tone. In addition to this, CC creams may or may not have properties of anti-aging, skin hydration or SPF protection.

   The Lakme CC Cream comes in 2 shades - The lighter Beige (for fair to wheatish complexion) and the darker Bronze (for dusky complexion) shade. The one which I use and am reviewing here is the Bronze shade.

   Usage: Dab over cleansed skin and blend in till absorbed for instant brightness and a perfect finish. Use every day.
   How to Use:

   I have been using the Lakme CC Cream since more than 6 months now, though not on a daily basis but only when I need to step out of my home or when I have to take pictures for reviewing products! Here, I must say that am thoroughly impressed by the way it makes my skin look and feel.
  
   Few points to stress upon for application of the CC Cream:
- One thing that many women forget is that the cream should be applied on the neck as well so that the skin tone of the face and neck match with each other. 
- I've noticed that I get better result when applying the product by the "dot" method or with the help of a makeup brush rather than by applying it through squeezing the cream in my palms and then applying it.
 - The cream does not need to be applied with any other moisturizer, although for people with excessively dry skin, it can be used after mixing it in a proportion of 1:1 with a moisturizer.

Lakme CC Cream Swatch

   Pros:
- Wonderful packaging with a cute outer pink box.
- The cream tube is handy and is easy to carry.
- Saves time as it combines the properties of a cream with a foundation/concealer.
- Blends with the skin to give a very natural look.
- Feels very light on skin.
- Stays on for long.
- Provides good coverage for acne, dark spots, uneven complexion.
- Easy to apply.
- Direction for usage are shown very nicely on a card inside the box.
- Provides protection from sun. (SPF 20)
- Cost effective considering it works as a foundation/concealer as well.

   Cons:
- Although the cream contains glycerin, which helps to keep the skin well moisturized, it causes drying of skin for me in winters.
- Wish it was available in more shades to suit women with darker skin tone.
- Won't hide extreme pigmentation, although it helps in lightening it.

My near perfect complexion all thanks to Lakme CC Cream

   Verdict: 4.5/5. Definitely going to repurchase as well as recommend it to others! 

   Works perfectly for me. The CC cream instantly evens out my complexion, hiding acne scars and gives my skin a clear, radiant and glowing look.

AccessorEyes with the Colossal Trio

   Last month, Maybelline introduced a special promotional box containing the three Colossal eye products namely the Colossal Kajal, the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara and their new innovation the Colossal Kohl Turquoise for their makeup enthusiasts to get the Perfect Colossal Eyes in three easy steps.

 

   I got my hands on one of these pretty boxes and created a Colossal eye look to share with you all.

   The packaging of the box is what impressed me the most. The box has a yellow and blue exterior. It's a three tiered box which has a magnetic lock mechanism to shut it close. Each of the tier contains a beautifully packaged Colossal product. The best part about the box was that one can modify the box a little and use it to keep all their cosmetics in it!

   An assortment of looks, ranging from simplest to more complex ones can be created using the three Colossal products. What I've shown here is a very simple and quick way to make your eyes look more attractive.

  
   Steps: 
- First line the entire upper eyelid and the inner half of the lower eyelid with the Colossal Kohl Turquoise.
- Then proceed with lining the outer half of the lower eyelid with the Colossal Kajal.
- Finally, apply the Colossal Volum' Express Mascara over the eyelashes to give them more volume. 

   And voila there you have it - Beautiful Colossal eyes in just 3 easy steps!!

Product Review - Tommy G Dual Lipstick

   Reviewing a lipstick that I received in my February Fab Bag and absolutely adore. This dual lipstick is manufactured by cosmetic giants from Greece which go by the name of Tommy G and are world renowned for their products.

   The product contains a liquid pigmented shade on one side and a clear gloss on the other side with individual applicators for both of them. They have 9 shades available in their dual lipstick category which range from nudes to shocking reds and pinks. What I received in my bag was Passion Red i.e Shade No. 7.

    Price: Rs. 980/-
   Volume: 10 ml
   Finish: Matte or glossy, depending on how you choose to wear it! 
   Shelf Life: Not mentioned.
   Direction for use: Apply the colored part to your lips and let it dry. For extra shine, follow it up with the transparent gloss. 

    Honestly, I was never a big fan of dark shades on my lips but this product made me change my mind and now I use this lipstick whenever I can as it is a complete attention grabber and is a source of compliments wherever I go!

  
   Pros:
- Pretty, simple packaging.
- Love the fact that the same product can give, both, matte and glossy finish.
- The bent applicator brush makes putting on the lipstick very easy.
- Single swipe is enough to get intense color.
- Works well on pigmented lips.
- The color lasts for a long time and does not need frequent touch ups.
- The matte lipstick does not bleed or gets smudged.
- Amazing variety of shades available.
- Does not cause drying or chapping of lips even if gloss is not applied.

   Cons:
- Not easily available in India.
- The shelf life and ingredients are not mentioned on the lipstick.
- When used with the gloss, the color comes off earlier and may smudge a little.
- On the costlier side, but worth every single rupee!

   Verdict: 4.5/5. Would definitely recommend and repurchase! Would love to try other shades available.
