2 Coats of Enamel without Top Coat

Revlon Nail Enamels are available in 64 colorful variants which range from those with a matte finish to those with a glossy finish.
This particular gel based nail enamel which I am reviewing today is black in color with large hexagonal and smaller round bluish glitter particles in it. The blue glitter particles are not very prominent, remain "Elusive"and give the nails a "Starry Night" appearance.

The consistency of the enamel is not very runny and is easy to apply.  The nail enamel dries up to give a matte look. A single layer of enamel gives a pretty opaque color, although 2 coats are necessary for completely opaque nails. The texture of the enamel after drying up becomes a little clumpy, which can be corrected by applying top coat on it which makes the nails looks much more prettier. Without the top coat, few of the glitter particles turn silver in a day or two of applying the enamel and also the enamel starts loosing its matte finish. The enamel stays on just for a day or two for me without a top coat or a base coat but lasts for around a week with two layers on top coat.

   Pros:
- Available in an attractive sturdy glass bottle.
- Quick dry formula.
- 2 coats sufficient for opaque colored nails.
- Matte finish.
- The blue glitter particles disperse uniformly and easily.
- Wide range of shades available.
- Staying power is excellent when applied with a top coat.
- Easily available in India.
- Appropriately priced.

   Cons:
- The enamel dries up to give a clumpy texture.
- Without a top coat, the enamel begins to chip in a day or two.
