Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition - Happy Hair Challenge - The Final Verdict

   Last month I took part in the Happy Hair Challenge which required me to use the Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo and Conditioner for a period of 30 days and blog about it's positive/negative effects on my hair. So now that my trial period is over I am jotting down my final detailed thoughts about the Triple Nutrition range here.

   Directions: Apply on wet hair, lather and rinse. Follow with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Strengthening conditioner. Can be used daily.

   Fructis Triple Nutrition Strengthening Conditioner: A new conditioning formula with an exquisite fragrance which extremely easily detangles your hair. The first conditioner from Garnier Fructis that can be applied on scalp. 
   Result: Hair is soft & extremely easy to detangle.
   Price: Rs. 135/-
   Volume: 175 ml 
   Shelf Life: 36 months.
   Directions: Rinse well after shampooing. Apply conditioner on scalp and along length of hair to tips. Leave for 1 - 2 mins. Rinse thoroughly. Product does not lather.For best results use with Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Strengthening shampoo. 

   The Garnier Triple Nutrition Range of products come in melon - yellow colored bottles which bear the name of the products along with all the pertinent information about them. A flip cap is attached to the mouth of the bottles for dispensing the product which is quite sturdy like the packaging material as it did not break or cause leakage even after falling on the floor on multiple occasions from my slippery hands!
   Both the shampoo as well as the conditioner have a subtle, pleasing fragrance which lingers for some time even after hair is rinsed thoroughly with water. Consistency-wise though the shampoo is thinner than the conditioner, it is not runny. The shampoo has a creamy - white appearance while the conditioner is more of curdy white in color.
   When it comes to actual usage of the product, both the products work effectively even when only a tiny amount of the product is used. The shampoo lathers abundantly and cleanses hair of all the oiliness and grime and is easy to rinse off. A single cycle of shampooing is more than enough for people who wash their hair daily or on alternate days while those who take a head bath less frequently or those who have oil their hair prior to the head bath would require 2 -3 cycles of shampooing.
   The conditioner though a little tedious to wash off completely, does the job of detangling the hair way better than most of the conditioners I've tried till date even with just a few minutes of application and makes hair very soft and smooth to touch.
   Hair appears softer, smoother, shinier and more lustrous even after a single use of the combo and is more manageable than before! After repeated use, slight reduction in amount of hair fall is seen with an end result of a more nourished and healthier looking mane!

- Rinsing off the conditioner is a little tedious.
- Weighs down hair if the conditioner is not washed off properly.
- Presence of SLES and other sulphates as core ingredients.

   Verdict: 4.75/ 5. Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition surely made my hair happier than they were before! It completes it's promise of nourishing and strengthening hair from scalp, through lengths to tips, leaving hair strong, nourished, shiny and manageable and gets a big thumbs up from me!

Lakme School Of Style Video Review

   Lakme is a brand that holds a very special place in hearts of all Indian beauty and fashion enthusiasts since more than past 50 years. After years of experience in manufacturing amazing beauty and skincare products, successfully running more than 220 Salons across the country which cater to all our beauty needs and organizing the bi-annual Lakme fashion week in Mumbai since a decade and a half they added one more feather to their hat by launching the Lakme School Of Style, India’s first fashion video magazine a few months ago with Karan Johar as it's editor-in-chief.
   The Lakme School Of Style is basically a vlog where one can find videos related to all things Beauty, Fashion and so much more - Right from makeup tricks and looks, the latest fashion fads and styling tips, love, relationships and men, quick celebrity interviews and that of inspirational women and also of pressing social issues affecting women. Guys need not fret as videos have also been dedicated to styling and grooming tips for men!
   I recently went on a Lakme School Of Style video watching marathon and am jotting down my take on few of my favorite videos from their playlist.


   Four Ways To Work Your Boyfriend's Wardrobe: In this video Lakme School Of Style Vlogger Sukhneet Wadhwa shares four amazing looks ranging from cute to downright glam and sexy by incorporating menswear in her ensemble. Now which girl doesn't like to wear her boyfriend's clothes - Don't know about others but I know I sure do! Not only do they feel warm and protective but can also look very fashionable and chic when worn right. And trust me, he would love to see you in his clothes!
   My favorite look amongst the four is the first one as she uses only guy clothes to dress herself. She pairs a graphic t-shirt with distressed jeans to which a jacket can to added to make a casual ensemble look more quirky. She also gives a quick tip about tying a knot on the t-shirt or wearing his shirt as a cape or by tying it around the waist if it's too big.

   5 Ways To Style Your Favourite Crop Top: I knew I would love this video even before watching it as I've been following Nilu Thappar, the Lakme School Of Style Lead Fashion Vlogger on social media channels since quite some time now to get inspiration from her impeccable fashion sense. She makes every piece of clothing she wears look awesome by carrying it well and always stands apart in a crowd!
   In this video she styles a simple black crop top to achieve five different looks ranging from casual, chic, swanky and sexy. By pairing the crop top with a suitable pair of shorts in one look to distressed denims, printed skirt and an embellished mini in others and accessorizing with tasseled necklace, quirky sunglasses or minimalistic jewellery, she creates looks so varied that it is almost impossible to believe that it's the same crop top that's been used in all the looks! A perfect video for women wanting to learn about accessorizing and about using the same piece of clothing to create completely different looks.

De-stress and #SlowDownZindagi

   In a world as competitive as ours, stress is something that one cannot evade. Whether it's the tension of the next board meeting, that of excelling in our studies or that of preparing a grand dinner for guests arriving in the house, we have all encountered stress and bucked down under it's pressure.
   So here are my top five ways of giving stress the boot, to #SlowDownZindagi and de-stress:

   1. Sitcoms: When I am stressed I cannot concentrate properly and as a result cannot get much constructive work done so I veg out in front of the idiot box or go on a marathon of my favorite sitcoms. Drama, thriller, romance and comedy - Whatever the genre be, it helps me take off my mind of my worries and relax a little. Have completed many a series like this - Two and a half men, How I met your mother, The big bang theory, Friends, Modern Family, Dexter, Castle, Criminal Minds,  Sherlock, Sex and the city, Desperate Housewives.. The list goes on and on!

   2. Listening to songs: Listening to my favorite tunes makes me forget the reality and takes me to a completely different world free from tension, worries and stress! The tunes may vary from fast and loud tracks to sweet, slow and romantic ones, but the effect that they have on me is always the same - A much relaxed and calmer me!

   3. Spending time with loved ones: Family, friends, your significant other or your pet - spend time with whoever hears about your problems, makes you smile, cherishes your presence in their lives  and makes you feel awesome and awesome about yourself!

   4. Go on a mini vacation: A weekend getaway to a nearby hill station or a break from routine household chores by checking in a resort is a good way to beat the stress. For us lucky Mumbaikars and Puneiites - Matheran, Khandala, Lonavala and Mahabaleshwar to name a few are hill stations just a few hours away! And for when one gets long weekends off, Goa is never too far away!

   5. Getting massages: For me, this is by far the most effective way of de-stressing and one of the best feelings in the world I have felt yet! It soothes my tired muscles and aches. What can be better than getting a nice full body massage followed by a nap to sleep through the stress and wake up refreshed and raring to go!
